Pattern Description from Vogue Knitting, Winter 2008/09: “The beauty of this child’s scarf by Kristin Nicholas is its versatility: The motifs are appropriate for both boys and girls. The scarf, edged at the sides with garter stitch, begins and ends in a twisted rib that is buffered by several rows of reverse stockinette. Knit it in ‘Creative Focus Worsted’ by Nashua Handknits/Westminster Fibers.”

Knitted Measurements: Approximately 7¼ x 46”/18.5 x 116.5cm
Materials:
- Boy’s Scarf: 2 skeins 3½oz/100g (each approx 220yd/200m) Nashua Handknits/Westminster Fibers, Inc. Creative Focus Worsted (wool/alpaca) in #63 denim heather (A) & 1 skein in #100 natural (B)
- Girl’s Scarf: 2 skeins in #100 natural (A) & 1 skein in #401 nickel (B)
- One pair each size 6 and 7 (4mm and 4.5mm) needles or size to obtain gauge.
