#317 Sylvie Fingerless Gloves
A lovely leaf and stem lace design is all the embellishment you need for these adorable fingerless gloves.
This pair is knit seamlessly in the round, starting with a little ribbing at the wrist. Then, the lace begins, along with increases for a shaped fit. At the thumb, stitches are placed on hold using waste yarn. After each glove is completed at the top with a little bit of ribbing, the thumbhole sts are picked up and worked in the round to finish.
Photos are included to help explain the thumbhole technique.
Lace is both charted and written out.
A sweet little gift that knits up quickly and uses less than 100 yds of worsted-weight yarn. Shown in Cascade Yarns Alpaca Lana D’Oro. Easily substituted with soft worsted-weight yarns like those suggested above.
Approx 7” / 18 cm around at wrist (unstretched); 8” / 20.5 cm around at top of glove; and 6 ½“ / 16.5 cm long. Fits most women. Can be easily made a little wider or longer (notes on this in the pattern).
