#32 Lace Shawl
Pattern description from Vogue Knitting, Holiday 2007:
“A diaphanous beaded lace shawl by Karen Joan Raz, worthy of its own standing ovation, is knit outward from a provisional cast-on in both directions with Jade Sapphire Exotic Fibres’ ‘Lacy Lamb.’ Beads are worked in with the allover lace patterning; the scalloped points at either short end are created with a distinct bind-off technique”
“Lace shawl with knitted-in beads and distinctive bind-off edging shown on page 94.”
Materials:
- 2 2.2oz/62g skeins (each approx 825yd/754m) of Jade Sapphire Exotic Fibers Lacy Lamb (lambswool) in #27 pink pearl
- One pair size 5 (3.75mm) knitting needles or size to obtain gauge
- One size 5 (3.75mm) crochet hook
- One 1mm beading crochet hook
- 1450 size 6.0 silver lined crystal glass beads and waste yarn
