A wide, ribbed cable cuff and beautiful cable panels take this classic beanie shape up several notches on the style scale.

This hat is knit from the bottom up in the round, starting with a lovely, textured ribbed cable for the wide cuff. The hat then continues with five cable panels, including the addition of an open, more ornate cable. Decreases at the crown create a nice rounded shape at the top while tapering off the open cable design.

This hat knits up perfectly in a rustic alpaca yarn, as shown. Or easily substitute another soft, worsted-weight yarn in a cashmere or wool blend.

Hat is both charted and written out and uses approximately 180 yards, making it a great stash busting one or two-ball gift knit.

FINISHED HAT MEASUREMENTS: Approx 20” / 47.5 cm around, unstretched x 8 ¾“ / 22 cm height. Easily stretches to fit up to 22” / 56 cm head.

Approx total yardage required: 180 yds / 165 m.

Sample in Berroco Ultra Alpaca in #6204 Buckwheat. Substitutes suggested above.
