A thread of nylon through strands of a soft merino creates a fabric that is lofty, yet firm; perfect for a boxy cardigan. The structure of this yarn results in features that may impact the crocheter. It may be difficult to know where to insert your hook occasionally but the yarn is very forgiving. No one will know if you caught the whole top of the stitch or just one loop!
This garment is worked traditionally from the bottom up. DC and HDC rows alternate for the pattern. Ch 1, skip 1 spaces worked in the DC rows provide a decorative edge on the bottom, front bands, neckline and sleeves. Sleeves are worked from the armhole to the cuff. Directions are given for the smallest size with larger sizes in parentheses. If only one number is given, it applies to all sizes. Our sample is crocheted in the Small size.

Note: The Ch 3 in the DC rows counts as a DC and the CH 2 in the HDC rows counts as a HDC.
