Pattern description from Knit.1, Fall 2007: “Joan Forgione’s cap-sleeve, button-placket smock goes from corporate to chameleon with a single spin. The flyaway silhouette is marked by a colorworked center-back pleat and collar. It’s shown in ‘Julia’ from Nashua Handknits/Westminster Fibers.”

  • 10 (11, 11, 12, 12, 13) balls in #50 Forged Iron of Julia by Westminster Fibers, Inc., 1¾oz/50g balls, each approx 93yd/85m (wool/alpaca/mohair)
  • 1 ball each in #2230 Rock Henna, #178 Harvest Spice, #8141 Pretty Pink, #5185 Spring Green, #2250 French Pumpkin, #5084 Zinnia Pink, #6085 Geranium, #1784 Gourd, #2083 Magenta and #5178 Lupine
  • One pair each sizes 6 and 7 (4 and 4.5mm) needles or size to get the gauge
  • Stitch holders & three ½“/13mm buttons in different colors.
