4 Booties to Go are the same booties that are in my Baby Raglan Sweater Patterns that include both booties and a cap. I have had several individual that just wanted the booties, so here they are.
All made with Plymouth Dreambaby DK weight yarn. So soft and comfy. After I finish them I stuff a tissue or two in the bottom of the bootie to make them stand up and look 3 dimensional which is nice for presentation.
They are easy to make, the bottom portion is all the same. The only different is the top design, Lacy for girls, Rib, Mock Rib and the well liked Star Stitch.
They are made in baby sizes only. Small would fit 0-3 months and the Larger size fits a 3-6 month baby. Didn’t think older babies would wear them. By then they are crawling and the booties would slip off.
I like Plymouth Dreambaby DK because it’s so soft, The Berroco Comfort DK yarn works well. I usually don’t use Red Heart for baby things. But, the choice is yours.
The Lacy booties need the crochet hook to make a chain for the ties. And the Size 6 for the booties.
The Rib Booties need the smaller needles to make the 1x1 Rib and the size 6 for the bottoms also.
The other need the Size 6 to make the entire bootie.
Only 1 skein of yarn is needed. Scarp yarn works well because you need around 75 yards for a pair. After you make another project, its a great way to use of the extra yarn. You can also make the tops of each of the booties a different color to make it look like socks. Go wild and have fun.
