This is a basic hat pattern with 4 variations to be used to make hats for all the children at a local Baltimore school. Worsted weight yarn is suitable, as long as your gauge is 5 sts = 1”.

Directions are for sizes Sm (kindergarten, grades 1 & 2),
Med (grades 3 & 4), Lg (fits 21” head, older teen/adult).

This hat can be made into many different styles from the basic pattern. Be creative with color and texture!
