This is the basic hat pattern we wrote for a new knitter who wanted to test knit our yarns. She’s created a load of gorgeous hats on size 7, 8, and 9 needles following these instructions. All she has to do is ask us what needle size to use, and she finds the corresponding instructions and creates a unique hat. This is a great pattern to use for the basis for your own creativity. Add stripes, use scraps, add fair isle… this is just a recipe with options for making a basic knitted hat. We think of it more as a collection of options than a true pattern, but we’ve had lots of requests for it.
