As the name implies, this quick hat consists of only 8 rows. Made in a worsted weight cotton, it is lightweight and cool, perfect for spring and summer. The mesh pattern is made simply with extra tall double-treble stitches. This hat is fast and simple and can be made in affordable kitchen cotton or a fancier organic cotton, or even more unusual yarns like linen, silk, bamboo and even acrylic blends.

Notes:
Gauge: Diameter of first 2 rows = 5.75 in. with larger hook
9 sc = 4 in. with smaller hook

This is an intermediate to advanced pattern, but only because of the magic ring technique and the very tall stitches used (US double trebles). The actual construction is very simple, so if you are an adventurous beginner, give it a try!
