The 80’s are back with shows like “Glow” and “Queer Eye” featuring sweatbands! I had this idea around Halloween, because I wished I had an 80’s workout look to dress up in.

Well this year I have it! I’ve sized out 3 different widths of sweatbands and wrist warmers you can make in with the pattern for a 4-9” wrist and 18-25” head!

Sock yarn is required, you need a high nylon content to get that good stretch and feel like a true 80’s sweatband. I went with a loud color, but a subdued color would work great as well. Leftover sock yarn too, since a cuff uses so little!

The wrist warmer can also be used to hold stitch markers and your darning needles. Fashionable and useful.

Though 80’s inspired, Astoria, NY in 2018 has been seeing a lot of these cuffs as of late, and getting plenty of compliments on them. :)
