A Basket of Bootcuffs by Makenzie Whitlock

A Basket of Bootcuffs

This pattern is available for free.

These sweet basketweave bootcuffs are designed to stretch. The constant utilization of back loops and front/back post stitches allows the fabric to have an adaptable and elastic fit. I have tailored these to fit my needs: My calves measure 13.5” each, and I have extracted an estimated half inch variation to fit both smaller and larger calves, maybe more. If the blo sc band doesn’t wrap comfortably around your leg, though, adjust by simply adding or subtracting rows in multiples of two. You will be crocheting in the ends of the rows and adding an additional two stitches; for the basketweave pattern to work, however, you will need your final stitch count to be divisible by three. I hope you enjoy making your own!
