Adapted from an 1887 pattern that appeared in Florence Home Needle-Work, published by the Nonotuck Silk Company, this version of a miser’s purse is worked in silk thread with #11 seed beads. The intricacy of the design comes from the placement of the beads. The crocheted foundation uses only basic stitches.
