This design presents several new features—the plain neckline, the bands decorated with cross-stitch in coloured wools, the hems on coat and sleeves. The pattern is simple, but the directions should be closely followed, so that all pieces are made for their correct positions. The model shown is carried out in navy blue, the cross-stitch being in Oriental colours.

MATERIALS: 10oz of 4-ply wool, navy blue, 1oz of white, and a small quantity of Oriental colourings for working the cross-stitch in the front 7 buttons. No. 9 needles.

MEASUREMENTS: Bust, 34 inches. Length from lower edge to underarm seam, 13 inches. Length of sleeve at underarm seam, 30 inches.
