September, 2012: It’s been about two years since I had this pattern originally posted; this is my first written sweater pattern. I wanted to post the charts that I made, but am unsure how to separate the charts from the written pattern; several people have asked for my version of the Lebowski sweater charts, since it has shorter floats than the other free version does, from what I can tell.

If you choose to follow my written version of the pattern - please note that I’ve done my best to note how I made my sweater, and how I’ve written it is verbatim to how I knit my version (pictured). I have been told (by the couple sort-of FO’s posted on rav) that there are mistakes in the pattern, but I haven’t been told what they are. Please check out my original version for more notes on this issue, if interested.

I would fully welcome any suggestions on improving this version of the pattern, and any corrections that may need to be done. For those who choose to knit the version I’ve written, and can spot the mistakes I may have made, erratta in their own project notes would be greatly appreciated.

This pattern was pulled from availability for a couple years, as I considered deleting this project; I was told by the couple projects made via ravelry that apparently the pattern I wrote had mistakes, although the erratta was never provided to me unless I provided payment for them, which I wasn’t able to do at the time. I believe that since there has been some amount of resolve, although the corrections that apparently needed to be made had not been, since I still don’t know what they are. Also, I had received some negative feedback after the purchasers had admitted to have buyer’s remorse, after realizing that another Lebowski sweater was available for free by another designer. As a result, for the last 2 years I’ve pulled my version. Only after several requests for (at the very least) my chart patterns for this sweater, I’ve decided to make it available only as a ravelry download, and nowhere else online, for a short time only. Any constructive feedback would be greatly appreciated.
