Travel season will be upon us soon, and whether you’re in the car, on a train, sitting in the airport during a layover, you’ll need a good travel project. This is it.

The shape is an elongated triangle worked from the point up to the base in soothing garter stitch. Increases are worked every row, and a band of contrast color ends with a picot bind off. Use any fingering weight yarn in your stash and have fun with a little color play, too.

The finished length is 52.5” and the width is 12”.

You will need:

  • 310 yards of Color A and 90 yards of Color B. The sample shown here was worked in Cascade 220 Fingering in color 8012 (Tan) and color 2414 (Orange).

  • US size 5 (3.75mm) needle. I recommend a 24” or 32” circular as you will be adding a lot of stitches.
