“A Hand To Hold” was a pattern that a wonderful woman named Margaret requested from me. I haven’t been able to take on any requests lately but this one I just couldn’t pass up. Margaret told me that her dear husband of 32 years had been diagnosed with metastatic melanoma that has spread to his brain and lung and she wanted me to create a square with her husband’s hand on it so she could knit it up for her and her family, and that way, they would always have his hand to hold and feel. So while this may look like an ordinary knitted hand, it holds a much deeper meaning for Margaret and her family and I am honored that I was able to do it for her. Our thoughts and prayers will be with you and your family Margaret :o)
