In honor of National Heart Month, A Healthy Rhythm was designed to promote heart health. For the month of February, this hat was an exclusive pattern for Close Knit LLC in Midland Park NJ. The pattern uses a corrugated, 2-color ribbing, a duplicate stitch pattern, and a large pom pom to create a fun and comfortable hat that supports a good cause. Although this hat promotes an awareness for heart health, doctors that have seen this hat have commented that the colorwork shows an a-typical rhythm! The colorwork pattern of this hat is done using duplicate stitch after the hat is complete. A Healthy Rhythm knits a 20 inch hat that comfortably fits most adults.

This hat uses duplicate stitch to create the ECG pattern. The ECG pattern is charted and can be knit via other colorwork techniques if desired, the chart supports both stranded and intarsia colorwork techniques.

The sample hat used 1 full skein of Cascade 220 for the main color (shown in Gray) and about 1/2 of a skein of Cascade 220 for the colorwork and pom pom (shown in Red).
