When completed the coatee has a thick, close, “crinkly” surface, and is delightfully warm. Matt stitch keeps its shape well, and will not pull out of shape with wear. It is done by knitting (in moss stitch) alternate rows of 2-ply wool and double 4-ply the equal of 8-ply.

Materials: No. 10 needles. No. 2 needles double pointed, 8 skeins Lincoln Mills super 4-ply wool, used double, 2 skeins Lincoln Mills 2-ply wool, 2 button moulds, 2 press studs.

Measurements: To fit 32 inch bust; length, 17½ inches.
