Materials:
• 1 (2, 2, 2) skeins MC, color Rosebud
• 1 (1, 1, 1) skein CC, color Jingle Bell Rock
(350 yards/198 grams) Blue Moon Fiber Arts Socks that Rock Heavyweight (100% Merino)

Needles:
• size US 6 (4 mm) 16” circular needle, or size needed for gauge
• size US 6 (4 mm) double-pointed needles for sleeves
• 1 size US 7 (4.5 mm) double-pointed needle for bind off

Extras:
• 8 stitch markers
• 6 (6, 7, 7) .5” buttons
• tapestry needle for weaving in ends

Gauge: • 22 sts and 36 rows over 4” in yoke pattern
• 22 sts and 32 rows over 4” in stockinette stitch

Notes

This sweater is worked from the top down. The yoke it is knit back and forth, then joined and worked in the round down to the hem.

When working the M1Ls and M1Rs in the yoke, I find that things look more smooth if the color of the float picked up is also the color you’re going to be knitting.

There is a wee bit of intarsia to get the MC garter stitch border on each side of the yoke. Remember to twist yarns when switching colors.
