This pattern is a collaboration with Kim Russo of Kim Dyes Yarn, using her Sourdough Sock yarn in the Ziggy Stardust colorway. Kim and I are excited to debut the pattern at Fibernate Friday Night on May 20th. You may purchase the yarn at 15% off at kimdyesyarn.com, and the pattern for the special price of $3.00 for one week from the release. The pattern will be $6.00 beginning May 28th.

In homage to David Bowie, knit up this light weight shawlette, and wear it to all the concerts and shows you’ll see this summer. It features garter stitch, and a diamond shaped lace border. Knitted side to side, including the lace edge, there are no stitches to pick up, just weave in your ends and block! It’s the perfect size to throw over your shoulders while watching your favorite band, under the stars.

The pattern is written for a single 400 yard skein of fingering weight yarn, but can easily be adapted for the amount and weight of yarn you’d like to use. Simply weigh your yarn before you begin, knit the increasing side of the shawlette, until you have used almost half of your yarn, and then begin the decreasing half.
