Fashionistas in our vibrant cities, London, Amsterdam, Stockholm, have been spotted wearing stripey loops around their elegant necks. Here are my instructions for making your own double-thick high necked version of this stylish accessory. Make versions for all four cold climate seasons: use linen, cotton and silk mixes for spring and summer evenings, cashmere and merino for comforting wintry daywear.

We like to use remnant skeins of ColourMart’s finest cashmere, merino and cotton mix yarns. It is so soft, it’s unbelievably snuggly. You will love this if you make one too.

You can substitute the ColourMart yarn for any other yarn you have in your stash. The prototype weighs 177g (approx 3g per stripe), so the equivalent of four 50g balls will be enough. But if you haven’t tried ColourMart yet, do jump in and experiment with one of their fabulous scrap sets. More information on the yarn from the lovely team of enablers at our own ColourMart Lovers Group on Ravelry.

Please feel free to message me with any questions or queries, as always. There’s a thread for notes & queries here.

With love from the crew at Artemis Adornments, and the best and loveliest ever warm and snuggly commutes to you all. x
