“Grammy” Ziegler sadly passed away in April of 2016, but she will always be in our hearts. Thanks to her son Aaron, her patterns will continue to be available for download here. Messages to the designer will not be answered as no one has access to the account. There will be no pattern support. Copyright to all of Deborah’s designs is now owned by her family.

The Grammy, Teach Me to Crochet Necklace was a two-fold idea that I came up with. One of my gran’princesses has asked me to teach her to crochet. I wanted to come up with a way to teach the basics that would allow her to have a finished piece as well. My second goal was a personal desire. I had 1 skein of Red Heart’s Cordial in greyscale. I wanted to use as much if not all of it! No scraps! I did accomplish my challenge! ;-)

This necklace teaches chaining; it is simple chain stitches.. And you have the added bonus of a piece of jewelry. It’s fun. With the yarn that is used the stitches are easy to see.

The other design that uses Red Heart’s Cordial is titled Grammy, Teach Me to Crochet Belt. I have done a review of one of Red Heart’s newer yarns. You can click to read, I Dream of Red Heart Cordial!

This pattern is written using Craft Yarn Council Standards. I use US terms on all my patterns. Designs from Grammy’s Heart creations are originals by Deborah Ziegler. Any similarities to other designs available are coincidental. I highly recommend reading through the pattern before beginning. Remember, a pattern is a guideline for you. You should always try to express yourself!
