Originally made for my granddaughter many years ago the pattern makes a little toy pig that will fit in your pocket but could also be used as a handbag decoration. Easy to make in an evening.

Originally designed in DK (light worsted) weight yarn he came out about 3.5” (9cm) long without the tail and 2” (5cm) up to his shoulder.

However there is no reason why you could not use any yarn, though of course the size would change.

The two yarns mentioned above are just suggestions. The pink pig was made in 100% acrylic, the grey one in Rico Essentials Cotton DK that is mercerised so it gives the pig a bit of a sheen.

The hook size too is just a suggestion. Obviously as with amigurumi the fabric needs to be tight.

Made in DK yarn he used about 24m.
