What began as a quest for the perfect Slytherin scarf turned into an adventure in making my first pattern - “A Scarf for Slytherin”.

This pattern features blocks of basket weave stitch broken up by segments of moss stitch.

I used Shepherd’s Wool Worsted in “Blue Spruce” (the deep green) and “Pewter” - these are perfect Slytherin colors. I went through two skeins of Blue Spruce and about half a skein of Pewter for the scarf itself; an additional Blue Spruce skein was needed for fringe.

Also, this doesn’t have to just be a slytherin scarf. You can turn this into a scarf for any of the other houses by substituting in different colors!

The scarf measures approximately 13” wide by 61” long, without fringe.

I hope you enjoy knitting this scarf as much as I did! Please don’t hesitate to get in touch with any questions. You can message me here, on Ravelry (username - moxiemanda) or send me an email - amanda@charminglymodern.com
