A pattern from River Colors Studio for the 2014 Yarn Discovery Tour.

Caroline, a pillar of our Thursday afternoon knitting group, can make argyle socks without batting an eye, but she isn’t as confident when it comes to learning new lace patterns. So when she asked if we could help her use a lace pattern she already knew to make a shawl, we were happy to oblige. The result: a simple variation of the “old shale” pattern in which a contrasting color adds a new spark of fun to an old standby. Many thanks to our customer Jewelann for modeling for us!
