Designed to work specifically with handspun yarn, this is a recipe to knit a hat or a pair of mitts using any gauge. You create a swatch by knitting the band (bottom of the hat, top of the mitts) sideways and then join in the round and pick up stitches for the rest of the project. No swatching, no measuring, just knit and go! This is a great project for using up leftover yarns or knitting with your handspun.
