Fun destasher project! This is NOT brioche :)
Use up your 4 ply sock yarn to make cosy DK weight socks.

These double knitting thickness socks are knitted top down so that you can adjust the foot to desired length.
The ribbing is knitted with one strand of MC 4 ply yarn on the smaller (2.5mm) needle.
You will then switch to a larger (3.5mm) needle to be able to knit the colourwork pattern across all the stitches, using MC and CC every other stitch.
For this pattern you can chose, either a self striping, hand dyed sock yarn, pulling from the inside and outside of the same 100gram cake of yarn, or for a more defined vertical stripe using two 50gram balls of contrasting colour 4ply sock yarn.

Happy knitting!
