A Tea Tray in the Sky
It’s not my style to make flounces and lace, so when I looked at the inspiration boards I was drawn immediately to the Mad Hatter’s checked pants. When I think of English anything, I think of plaid, so I wanted to combine this with a simple floral motif, creating a cardigan that uses two complimentary colors in garden tones and juxtaposes something graphic with something organic. The plaid pattern is a slip-stitch pattern, so only one color is used in any row. The leaf pattern is simple and intuitive.
This cardigan is worked in one piece from the top down!
