The “A Zig and A Zag Afghan” was designed for a stitch sampler style CAL which will be held through the month of September. This CAL will be held on my blog for FREE or you can purchase the full pattern for a small fee.

The schedule is as follows:
Tuesday 6/13: Supplies list and basic stitch information
Monday 6/19: Section 1
Monday 6/26: Section 2
Monday 7/3: Section 3
Monday 7/10: Section 4
Monday 7/17: Section 5
Monday 7/24: Section 6
This completes the special stitch instructions. You may choose to finish your afghan in any order you choose to customize it to your preferred style OR continue with the CAL for instructions to complete the afghan as shown in the photos
Monday 7/31: Section 7
Monday 8/7: Section 8
Monday 8/14: Section 9
Monday 8/21: Section 10
Monday 8/28: Section 11
Monday 9/4: Section 12
Monday 9/11: Section 13
Monday 9/18: Border/Fringe

I chose to work this afghan length wise to get a great, long style of the stitches AND because it helps you feel like it’s not going to take forever to complete. Information is given for you to work this width wise if you choose and is easy to adjust to your desired size.

This is a great way to learn a few new stitches, not be rushed to finish an afghan and work at a pace that is manageable to allow you to complete a good sized project!

This pattern has been tested by experienced crocheters for ease and accuracy.
