This is a primer for a colorful scarf made in entrelac sections that fill in the edges of the main basket-weave pattern. It is 3.99USD but is FREE with the Coat of many Colors pattern to encourage you to try the Coat with confidence and to experience how fun it is to knit Entrelac!

The entrelac stitch is a series of shapes that are knit in succession while joining to an adjacent section. They are all easy shapes and work up fast. This primer will show you in detail how to proceed with confidence.

I created it to help you feel more comfortable with the larger patterns of jackets, hats and coats in my Ravelry store. The pic of the scarf on the needles is pre-blocking so far, I will update it when I complete the scarf.

Entrelac is more beautiful in long color change yarns like NORO, but if you are cautious of single ply, try it out with a plied yarn first.
