A feminine cloche-styled hat with plenty of texture to draw the eye. This stitch pattern reminds me of a dahlia flower with its soft, scooping petals. The hat is accented by a delicate picot edging.

The idea of the picot edging came because my original intent was to make this hat for my best friend who has pancreatic cancer. I wanted to make a delicately-styled hat that didn’t look like a chemo hat and yet would have a solid weave to keep her head warm.

This hat comes in four sizes: Toddler through Adult Large. It uses less than one skein of worsted weight yarn and looks great in solid and tonal colors!
