Mosaic knitting is a great way to get some colorwork into your knitting.
Only one strand is carried and worked at a time and the interest is
created by slipped stitches. This hat is a great first mosaic project.

The sample was blocked into a tam shape, with a flat crown, but you
could leave it in a more beanie-like form if you prefer.

Note: the mosaic stitch for the brim in only included in chart form. The rest of the pattern is only written.
