Academia is a Fair Isle sweater vest inspired by Oxford vests of the 1920s, but with decidedly modern tailoring.

The vest is knit in the round to the armholes and then worked back and forth for the front and back. When working Fair Isle sections, make sure that your gauge is the same for both working in the round and working back-and-forth in rows.
