This hat was going to be something else!

Well always a hat, but I made a mistake in learning a new stitch (as you do), and the stitch you see in this hat was the result. I liked it, and continued on with the hat. I hope you like it too!

The hat is made with worsted weight yarn, and is worked mostly with front post stitches and double crochet. The front post treble stitches are worked into the stitches 2 rows below the normal row, and the trebles and double crochets alternated to create the spiral cable texture.

The hat is meant to be slouchy, with a wide ribbed band. You can adjust the length of either as you wish.

You will need 2 skeins worsted weight yarn, a 4.5mm and a 5mm hook, and a yarn needle.

Enjoy!
