Reminiscent of Dumbledore’s wand in the Harry Potter series, ‘Accio, Socks!’ is a pattern with many twists!
Pay careful attention to which twist is which on the chart (there are six types),and you will soon get into the swing of it. I would recommend judicious use of a highlighter pen to allow you to differentiate between them at a glance.
If you can cable without a needle, so much the better, but it is of course completely doable with a cable needle too.

In the medium and large sizes, I have increased the stitch counts in the patterned areas to accommodate for the cables pulling the fabric in. These extra stitches are then decreased gradually, as they cease to be necessary, and are then reintroduced before the pattern on the foot begins. Again, these are then decreased.Dobby may not mind a baggy ankle, but there is no reason that you should have to!
