This cowl is worked in the round without purling…ever! You will get the appearance of Stockinette stitch and Reverse Stockinette stitch, simply by changing the direction of your knitting.

You can easily make this cowl as large as you want. The pattern is written for a smaller more neck hugging cowl. If you want to make a long drapey cowl just add more stitches and make sure it’s a multiple of 2.

The original sample was knit in Nistock Farm Bulky, but any bulky yarn that gets a loose gauge of 12st/4in. will work well.
