This lace shawlette is named for the Greek Goddess “Achelois”; she who washes away pain.
This pattern is dedicated to my sister who fought breast cancer for 5 years.
RIP, dear sister. 8-11-2011

Achelois is knit from the top center neck edge, increasing as it progresses into a triangle shape. Knit with a laceweight for a light airy lacey accessory, or knit with a heavier weight yarn for a beautiful warm wrap.

Materials:
435 yards lace weight yarn (Note: any weight yarn may be used, but yardage may change)
Needles: US 3 – 24 inch circular
Stitch markers – optional
Blocking wires, pins

Gauge: Lace is very subjective. Needle size will depend on how airy or how tight you want the design to be. Swatching a section of pattern repeat will help in deciding what needle size you will need for your desired look. US Size 3 was used.
Pattern is charted.
