This adorable little acorn baby is just dreaming of growing up to be a giant oak tree one day just like mommy and daddy! You’ll be hooked and will just need to make several!

Materials
Worsted weight yarn in tan (or other flesh tone), light brown, dark brown and green
I used: Bernat Super Value in Oatmeal and Taupe Heather; and Red Heart Super Saver in Warm Brown and Medium Thyme
3mm and 5mm crochet hooks
2 - 6mm eyes
Embroidery floss for mouth (I used DMC #356 Medium Terra Cotta)
Fiberfill
Tapestry needle, scissors, skewer, straight pins

Size
Gauge is not important to these patterns. The size of your finished products will vary depending on the size yarn and hooks you use. Made with the materials listed, the baby measures 2 ½” (not including hat) and the leaf bed is 5” long (not including stem).

Pattern Notes
The pattern is written for advanced beginner crocheters and beyond (mainly because of the type of terminology used). The advanced beginner is familiar with making amigurumi and understands basic amigurumi crochet terminology and stitches as well as how to sew pieces together, finish off, hide ends, etc. If you are not familiar with all the terms used in this pattern, there are a multitude of tutorials on You Tube that can help. Also feel free to contact me with any questions. I’ll be glad to help in any way I can.
