A top-down sock to commemorate the fall season and the greedy activity of squirrels everywhere. An openwork pattern extends down the leg and over the foot (pattern is not reversible for toe-up construction).

The stitch number of the Acorn Lace pattern varies from row to row. A change in yarn weight or needle size will cause a variation in the size of the socks.

errata now available for the “sock club” book version of this pattern; see errata links for a PDF download of the corrected pattern (errata does NOT apply to the earlier version published by knitspot)
