Reversible wandering rib pattern is perfect for this cap-sleeved tunic-length sweater with a hood that blooms in the back from a continuous undulating rib. Wear open or fastern with crocheted buttonholes and knitted toggle buttons.

Construction: Rib pattern is worked from the bottom in one piece, separated at sleeves then grafted at shoulders; hood is joined and worked in one piece, grafted at top. Short rows shape shoulders.

Finished measurements: 30 (39, 48, 57)“ / 76 (99, 212, 145) cm sweater circumference. Allow 2-4” / 5-9 cm for ease and overlap. (Shown in size 39 with 3” ease)

Yarn: 8 (10, 12, 14) skeins Sunday Knits 5 ply (137 yds / 125 m per 1.8 oz / 50g skein) in either Eden (100% merino), Brigadoon (100% merino tweed), Angelic (75% merino 25% angora) or Nirvana (92% merino 8% cashmere)

Needles & Notions: Size 7 US / 4.5 mm, size 4 US / 3.5 mm, 3 US / 3.25 mm for toggle buttons, crochet hook size 4 US / 3.5 mm for buttonholes

Gauge: 24 sts = 4 ½“ / 11.5 cm and 27 rows = 4” / 10 cm in pattern stitch with larger needles.

Skills used: Grafting, short rows, cable decreases.
