Adamson Mitts
Cozy fingerless mittens with a unique layered look and multiple options!
Malibu isn’t just movie stars and surfers. A lovely example of California Moorish-Spanish architecture, the Adamson House, is situated between Surfrider Beach and Malibu Lagoon. It is best known for the extensive use of Malibu Potteries tiles throughout the house.
Malibu tiles have a distinct Moroccan flair, one that I hope I’ve captured in the stranded portion of these mitts. The cabled portions represent the movement of water.

You can knit the stranded portion by itself as a wristwarmer.
You can omit the ribbed undercuff and just knit the overcuff/stranded portion, continuing with the main cabled portion.
Or, you can knit them as shown.
