Adorn your ponytail, your dog, a wrapped present or a relative’s head. Just Add a Bow!

Why buy hair elastics when your rubber stationary supplies can be recycled into adorable scrunchies with bows? Use a longer elastic for a headband. Either way, it’s a quick and fun project using less than 11 grams of scrap yarn.

Sizes: Scrunchie 6-16” (15-40 cm) to circumference or Headband 13-24” (33-71 cm) circumference.

Materials:
Yarn: 20 (27) yards/ 18(25) meters/ 8(11) grams DK Superwash Merino such as KnitPicks Swish DK or Tosh Merino DK.
Notions: One or two narrow 3” (7cm) or 6” (15cm) elastic or rubber band(s), matching the colour of the yarn if desired.
Tools: Two US4 (3.5mm) short double pointed needles; cable needle; removable stitch marker (optional); tapestry needle.
