Adela
Winner of the Elann’s Winter 2012 Designer Contest
Diana Rigg on PBS’s Mystery! introduces Gladys Mitchell’s 1920’s criminologist and amateur sleuth, Mrs. Adela Bradley, this way: “Over the course of some sixty-six mysteries, Adela Bradley married and divorced three husbands, was made a Dame of the British Empire, and a consultant to the British Home Office. She also developed prodigious abilities at pub darts, snooker, billiards, and knife throwing. One thing she cannot do is knit.”
So, for Adela -- mondaine, cosmopolitan and woman of impeccable fashion sense -- a unique and beautiful lace scarf to match her individuality!
A captivating scalloped-edge lace scarf whose mirrored pattern extends from the centre out. The thematic eyelet end edgings are knit on.
Choose a yarn that blocks well to show this delicate lace pattern at its best.
Once again I’ve drawn on the stitch design magic of the talented Annie Maloney (mzannieknits here on Ravelry) – thank you Annie!
