I did not originate the design for this style of necklace, but I was unable to find a pattern for a necklace like this that is adjustable, so I thought I would write up my method for making these adjustable necklaces. The.pdf file is a photo tutorial with written instructions.

This pattern works up into a multi-strand necklace that is adjustable in length. The photos of the black and white necklace show the same necklace adjusted to shorter and longer lengths

Use any lightweight trellis, ladder, or railroad style yarn.

You will also need one bead - “pony” size beads work well. The bead can be metal, wood, or plastic.

The only crochet stitch that you need to know how to do is the chain stitch. Yes, it’s really that easy!

Construction consists of 5 chain strands that are joined together and then a bead is added to make the necklace adjustable.

This is my first pattern write up. Please let me know if anything needs correcting - thanks!

These necklaces are fun to do, work up quickly, and make great gifts!
