Alpacas are wonderful, but expensive. If you’re on a budget, a knit one is the way to go!

This sweet alpaca is knit almost entirely in the round. Since he is made with a very small amount of yarn, he is a great stash buster. Gauge is not important, just as long as your stitches are tight enough to hold the stuffing in.

From the tip of his ears to the bottom of his toes, he measures 7.5 inches.

Please note: There has been some confusion as to the number of rounds on the body changing to the neck after the short rows. Since the body ends on round 27 before the short rows, after the short rows I begin the neck rounds on round 28. The short rows are numbered differently to distinguish them from the body and neck rounds. I hope this helps!
