I wanted to make some hand warmers for my son, so that his hands would stay warm but he could still feel with his little fingers.

The rib pattern of these hand warmers means that they fit a wide range of ages, as they stretch and grow with the child. The adult size also fits a wide range of hand sizes. All can be made longer or shorter to suit the recipient - a true knit to fit.

Double-pointed needles are used so that the hand warmers are worked in the round, therefore no sewing up is required. The tension is measured over the rib pattern, when it is slightly stretched out. The same is true about the measurements of each size (they are measured over a slightly stretched out hand warmer) - as the rib is so giving each size can fit a range of sized hands and the knit stretches or relaxes depending on the need of the wearer.
