Sizing:
The video tutorial is for the size LARGE that will fit anybody that is 5+ feet tall.
Watch the end of the video to get tips on to make yours smaller or bigger.

Materials:
-Red Heart Super Saver Medium (worsted) weight yarn:
For the Large size I used approximately 1700 yards of Gray Heather, Small amounts of Black, White, and Cherry Red.
If you cannot get these exact brands of yarn, go to Yarnsub.com to find an equivalent type of yarn.
-Size K-6.50mm AND I-5.50mm crochet hook
-Yarn Needle
-Scissors
-Stuffing (optional)

Special Stitches:
Ch: chain
Sl st: slip stitch
BLO: Back Loop Only
DC: double crochet
Sc: single crochet
HDC: Half Double Crochet
TC: Treble Crochet
DC2TOG: Double Crochet Decrease
HDC2TOG: Half-Double Crochet Decrease
SC2TOG:Single Crochet Decrease
Notes:

Watch the video tutorial to make this smaller or bigger. At the end of the video tutorial I give clear instructions on how to make this smaller. Just stop increasing at the point where you feel it has reached the size you are trying to accomplish, then jump to the directions for row 44 and make it however long you want it to be.
-Ch 2 at the beginning of row/round does NOT count as a stitch. (See video tutorial for clear instructions)
-The Blanket part is made using a K-6.50mm size crochet hook, and all the fins and embellishments are made using the I-5.50mm crochet hook.
-For the Tail Fin, Dorsal Fin, and Eyes, work in the BLO
