This is a truly versatile unisex cowl that is incredibly easy to wear. It can be worn as a regular adult cowl over a top and will be short enough to be out of the way for work, etc, or it can be worn tucked beneath a top or sweatshirt, with only the neck part visible.

Alternatively, it can be worn as an Infinity Scarf for a younger child and families sometimes share them between them.

It is equally versatile in choice of yarn. The cowl can be made, as in the photos here, in Paintbox Yarns Cotton DK, suitable for sensitive skin, or for more warmth choose either Paintbox Yarns Baby DK or Paintbox Yarns Simply DK.

Made to a tension of 22sts x 30 rows, the cowl has a really simple, but striking basketweave pattern and is perfect for beginners upwards. The wide choice of colours available makes the scarf perfect for everyone - and it can be made in different shades for different occasions - it’s so quick to make…
