Aeglos is Sindarin, a language created by J.R.R. Tolkien. I adore J.R.R. Tolkiens work and the at the time new colorway Mont Blanc of the Wollmeise reminded me of icicles in the sun. Therefore I chose the Sindarin word for icicle - Aeglos.

The pattern is formed by elongated, slipped and cabled stitches. It includes detailed information about cabling with and without a cabling needle. It also gives the opportunity to use beads for the unique look, but they are optional.

In the original socks there were used 6/0 silverlined Toho beads in turquoise.

Special thanks to my testknitters: Pinkcalla, Jencie, tomkai, kolibri, JeriBrock, KKay and Jlblapeer. You were really great!
